Baani Kaur

Baani Kaur's mission is to connect cultures through art. She is a writer-director-actor-producer of music videos/commercials and films infused with comedy, dance, and activism. 

​

She currently studies at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and is a writer for Rickshaw's Feature Lab Writers Room. She also trained at the University of  Texas McCombs School of Business and Moody College of Communication. Previously she held multiple positions at ntTV, a Lone Star Emmy winning television station, at the University of North Texas.

She is​ also a passionate dancer, performing for celebrities like Hrithik Roshan and winning the national Bollywood Youth America dance contest.

​

When Baani is not on stage or on set she enjoys organizing panels for Asian American filmmakers and creating marketing campaigns. She is a four time gold Presidential Service award recipient and proud Gold Award Girl Scout.

Baani Kaur plans to combine her background in the arts and business to become the creative who bridges people and cultures.
